Reiki at Chicago Police Headquarters

This has become a quarterly event, and the officers and staff are so excited to come to the Media room for their sessions.

Favorite feedback: “Excellent service to provide for us—thank you!”

Reiki can so quickly and easily transform someone’s mood, outlook on life, and behavior towards others. This is so critical in times of crisis, when tempers can flare and situations can escalate.

On this day, the department was preparing memorial activities to honor Officer Luis Huesca, shot while in uniform on his way home from work. Huesca’s dear friend, Officer Andres Vasquez-Lasso, was killed just a year ago, and there’s a heart-wrenching video of Huesca eulogizing him and praising his honor in wearing the badge. As the CPD mourns the loss of Huesca, we were there offering support in the best way we can.

It was Nykki’s first event with us, and she was really touched by the opportunity to serve and the feedback she received.

Diversity!

Thanks team! And thanks to the CPD for allowing us to support you!

This event was made possible
by the generous support of the
