My first customer was a student wearing a green t-shirt that said, "I don't want to." But when it came to reiki, he did want to. And his response afterwards was, "I've never felt this good in my life!" His friends immediately lost their shyness and lined up for their sessions. I love working with younger folks, as they are so receptive to reiki and aren't afraid to express themselves, as seen here in the photo.  

Bell School hosts an annual Family Fine Arts Night, and this year's theme was Artivism:  Find Your Voice. Shana, event organizer and new reiki channel, wanted us to help demonstrate that self care is an important part of activism. It was an honor to participate in this fantastic event.

Reminiscing on turning 50, and accomplishments and setbacks to date.

The Reiki Brigade focuses on communities in distress, so working with the residents of the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center has been a longtime goal. It was well worth the wait. 

Retail Therapy:  When a fashion empire calls in reiki practitioners for their annual wellness event. We were happy to help these folks reduce their stress and ergonomic issues. 

Reiki is one of the greatest gifts we can give, so it was a pleasure to serve the Humboldt Park community in a pre-holiday service event. 

Our first appearance at the Federal Aviation Administration was so popular, we were invited back. Read all about it (and see the photo recap) here. The world is ready for a paradigm shift and the Reiki Brigade is ready to facilitate it with reiki demos and presentations.

Music to my ears! "We have been given a green light to offer Reiki at all VAs." —from an email I received from an administrator at a local VA.

Epileptic seizures are misfiring of bioenergetic impulses. Reiki clears, balances, and fortifies the bioenergetic field. We would love to see research on the impact of reiki sessions on the intensity and frequency of epileptic seizures. This event moved us a bit closer. 

The Reiki Brigade is raising awareness of the benefits of reiki within the medical community by offering demos at national conferences. IM4US was a perfect fit, and many decision-makers had wonderful reiki experiences that day. 

The Reiki Brigade is always looking to connect with other service providers and institutions charged with caring for underserved communities. The Garfield Park Community Fair was a jackpot. 

With national security and travel legislation at the forefront of the news, the folks at the FAA are under a lot of stress. We were happy to share reiki with employees of this governmental institution, and experienced the widest range of reactions to date!
